Ghana have summoned 25 players for the Wafu Cup of Nations which begins on Saturday.

Hearts of Oak linchpin Winful Cobbinah headlines the roster, along with teammates Patrick Razak, Kwame Kizito, Vincent Atinga and Thomas Abbey.

Although Sadick Adams is conspicuously missing, Asante Kotoko are still well represented by goalkeeper Felix Annan and defenders Amos Frimpong and Ahmed Adams.

Wafa midfielder Gideon Waja, who is currently with the team A for 2018 World Cup qualifying duty, is expected to link up with the squad upon his return from Congo.

Ghana kick of the Wafa campaign against Gambia in a Zone A playoff on Saturday.

The match winner join seven others for the group stage of the competition.

Maxwell Konadu's side will be hoping to make amends after losing to Burkina Faso over two legs in African Nations Championship qualifying last month.
