Kane picked up an ankle injury during Spurs' 6-0 thrashing of Millwall at the weekend and there have been reports the striker could miss the rest of the season.
However, Chelsea defender Cahill is eager to see his international colleague make a speedy recovery and be available for Spurs when the London rivals meet in April.
"I wish he was fit to meet up with England, to play with England," said Cahill ahead of England's upcoming games against Germany and Lithuania.
Cahill, speaking at Stamford Bridge on Monday night after Chelsea had beaten FA Cup holders Manchester United 1-0, added of Kane's injury. "I don't know the outcome of it.
"It looked nasty when I saw it. I wish him all the best, it is not nice to pick up an injury or be out of the game.
"It is all about playing and keeping fit, I wish him all the best. He is a key player for them and he has proven that again this year. He is a talisman for them and it is a blow for them."
Mauricio Pochettino's side are the only team to beat Chelsea this season since the Premier League leaders switched to playing in a 3-4-3 formation.
