Francis Kahata relishes Meddie Kagere's reunion at Simba SC

Francis Kahata wants to link up with former teammate, Meddie Kagere at Simba SC.

Kagere joined Simba in June on a two-year deal from Gor Mahia and Kahata, who formed a formidable force with the Rwandan striker, has vowed to sign for the club.

This comes amidst reports that Kahata, whose contract with Gor Mahia is set to end in December, is currently being scouted by the Tanzanian champions.

“I can say that fans here (Tanzania) love football and that Simba needs me in their squad. That’s why their fans are supporting me because they want me in their team. I’ve been talking with the club’s management and they are not a bad team,” Kahata was quoted by the Champions.

“Kagere is a good player and we formed a good unit together at Gor Mahia. When that time comes, I would take it up because I would still like to play with him. I am just waiting to see the offer they (Simba) will table to me.”

Gor Mahia, in the meantime, have vowed to fight for their prized asset with the club even slapping a one billion price tag on Kahata.
