There has been no past meetings prior to this season between the sides, with Singida United having only been promoted to the top flight to this season.
The two clubs met for the first time in October last year, in a league match which was held in Morogoro. The match ended in goalless draw at Mtibwa Sugar’s Manungu stadium.
In the reverse fixture, which was held on April 6, Singida United got hammered at home by a 3-0 scoreline.
Mtibwa Sugar’s Kelvin Sabato, Salum Kihimbwa and Hassan Dilunga were all on target to conclude the torture.
Ahead of this final, you can argue that Mtibwa Sugar has got the upper hand but don’t rule out Hans van Pluijm’s record when playing against the Morogoro based sides.
