While some feel this was a one-sided affair, Sundowns really tried hard to give Barcelona a good run for their money. Here's how Twitter reacted

The Mamelodi Sundowns vs Barcelona match was a major talking point on social media on Wednesday.

The majority of football fans around the country had some good things to say about the match itself, but some used it to mock the Brazilians after the game.

Barcelona didn't really have it easy against the South African champions, but they scored three goals which handed them a 3-1 win on the night.

Here's how football fans reacted to the game on Twitter.

Former Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu who's currently on the books of French Ligue 1 club also watched the game keen interest, and some encourage words to say.

The match certainly didn't belong to football fans only, as politicians were also at the venue to watch the two teams play.

Now, here's a video clip of Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen denying Hlompho Kekana what would have been an unfortgettable goal for him.
