EXTRA TIME: Hapoel Beer Sheva's Ogu pays respect to fallen Israeli troops

The Super Eagles midfielder joined the European nation in paying homage to its fallen sons and daughters who died on the battle field

John Ogu joined Israeli citizens to mark their annual day of remembrance for fallen troops and slain civilians of terrorist acts on Monday.

Ahead of its 69th Independence Day anniversary on Tuesday, Israel remembers 23,544 servicemen and civilians killed since 1860.

After a nine-month goal drought, the 28-year-old midfielder scored his first league goal against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Saturday, to lead the Camels to their second Israeli Premier League.

Ogu who joined Bachar Bakar’s men from Portuguese side, Académica in 2014 shared his heartfelt message.
