Everton expects improved Abia Warriors' performance vs. Cynosure FC

Rafael Everton says he expects improvement in Abia Warriors' performance against Cynosure FC in their next pre-seasom encounter.

Last week, in their first friendly match, the Warriors defeated Yobo Academy 3-0 at the Umuahia Township Stadium. And they play host to the Port Harcourt side on Saturday .

And Everton who rated his team’s performance against the team owned by former Super Eagles’ skipper, Joseph Yobo 'just above average' says he wants his players to improve their attitude to the game and also play as a team.

“I will say we are gradually taking shape but we are not yet there. We played just above average in our last friendly match and I expect them to play better against the team from Port Harcourt on Saturday. We are still some way back in our preparations but I believe we shall get there in due course,” Everton told Goal.

“I am happy with the decision of Abia Warriors to appoint me and I will do everything possible to ensure that the club competes better this term than it has been previously.

“We are still having discussions with some of the new players that are coming in and we have promoted some of the feeder team players to help in their development. Abia Warriors will do everything to surprise many this season,” he added.
