Eusebio Sacristan has put pen to paper on a contract extension with Real Sociedad that will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2019.
The 52-year-old's previous deal was due to expire this summer, but the Liga club moved to secure his future, confirming the news on Monday.
Eusebio, who succeeded David Moyes at San Sebastian in November 2015, has been linked with a return to Barcelona, having been identified as a potential successor to Luis Enrique.
Since taking over from Moyes at Sociedad, Eusebio has improved the club's fortunes, guiding them from 16th to a ninth-place finish last year.
He has continued that trajectory in the 2016-17 campaign and Sociedad currently find themselves fifth in the Primera Division after 23 games, four points behind fourth-placed Atletico Madrid.
