Diop & Masika combine to hand Beijing Renhe victory vs. Demba Ba’s Shanghai Shenhua

The African trio found the back of the net as Luis Garcia Plaza’s men defeated the Flower of Shanghai

Ayub Masika and Makhete Diop combined well to help Beijing Renhe cruise to a 3-1 victory over Demba Ba’s Shanghai Shenhua in Sunday’s Chinese Super League encounter.

Diop who joined the side from Shabab Al Ahli in the summer continued his brilliant performance for Luis Garcia Plaza’s men scoring twice to take his goal tally to six in nine games.

The 30-year-old Senegalese got the curtain raiser in the 11tth minute after being set up by the Kenya international, he then completed his brace in the 27th minute off another Masika’s assist.

The 25-year-old scored a goal of his own in the 39th minute after benefitting from Gang Wang’s assist and Ba then converted a consolatory effort at the death.

The African trio were on parade for the entire duration of the encounter and will be looking to continue the form in their next league game for their sides.

Beijing Renhe face Guizhou Zhicheng at Nanjing Olympic Sports Center while Shanghai Shenhua try Guangzhou Evergrande for size, both games on September 2.
