Borussia Dortmund attacker Ousmane Dembele has been left out of the France squad to tackle Netherlands and Luxembourg in World Cup qualifying.

Head coach Didier Deschamps has said that players will not be authorised to conduct transfer business while on international duty, with the 20-year-old winger yet to complete a move to Barcelona.

France 13/2 to win World Cup

While the former Rennes player has not been called, Deschamps has selected Kylian Mbappe, who continues to be linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain

With the squad due to convene on August 28, that gives the side from the French capital four days to complete a deal.

Among the other notable faces in the squad is Nabil Fekir, who has been recognised for an excellent start to the season with Lyon, while he will join up with Alexandre Lacazette, who has not always been a favourite of Deschamps’.

Karim Benzema’s international exile continues, meanwhile, and Anthony Martial has not earned a call-up despite scoring in each of Manchester United's opening two Premier League matches.

France face the Netherlands on August 31 before meeting Luxembourg on September 3. Les Bleus lie second in Group A after suffering a shock defeat to Sweden in June.
