‘Crystal Palace need to bounce back!' - Wan-Bissaka ahead of club’s tough run

Crystal Palace 'need to bounce back' after their ‘devastating’ Everton loss, says Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Late goals from substitutes Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun ensured Roy Hodgson’s men left Goodison Park empty-handed on Sunday afternoon.

The result meant the south London side have now gone four games in the league without a win and hopes of grabbing the maximum points in their next couple of top-flight fixtures seems bleak, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur lined up for them.

“It is a tough run but as a team we need to stay strong together and we will always keep fighting and be up for the challenges ahead,” Wan-Bissaka told club website.

“We need to bounce back and take the positives from today into the games coming up.

“I’m enjoying it and my target is to play more games.”

On Sunday’s loss to Marco Silva’s side, the former DR Congo youth international felt they were on the verge of successfully executing their plan, but for a pair of late strikes.

“We are devastated to concede so late in the game. We played well, particularly in the second half and had a lot of chances but just couldn’t take them,” he continued.

“We are a hard-working team keep fighting but need to finish our chances when they come along.

“The plan was to defend well and keep a clean sheet and then we knew that chances would come along as they did but we were not able to take them.

“Sometimes our performance is not reflected in our result and we need to keep working hard through the games and take our chances.”

Crystal Palace are now placed 15th in the Premier League table, two points off the relegation zone.
