The 2018 Telkom Knockout Cup quarterfinal draw was conducted at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Tuesday night.

This was immediately after AmaZulu booked their place in the Last 8 of this year's edition after beating Cape Town City 2-0 in front of their KwaZulu Natal fans.

Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United were never going to face each other as they were seeded for the quarter-final draw.

The league released a statement confirming that all the remaining teams that finished the highest on the standings the previous campaign will be seeded, while those who finished the lowest were unseeded.

Amakhosi were pitted against SuperSport United in the first matches of this year's Telkom Knockout Cup.

Giovanni Solinas' men sealed their passage to the Last 8 after beating Black Leopards 4-2 on penalties last weekend.

On the other hand, Sundowns, who last lifted this trophy in 2015, were handed an easy draw away to Baroka FC.

The Brazilians edged out Bloemfontein Celtic in the Last 16, thanks to Gaston Sirino's solitary strike in Tshwane.

Orlando Pirates, who have won this trophy just once in their history despite reached over 12 TKO final, will face AmaZulu.

The Soweto giants needed a Vincent Pule goal at the Orlando Stadium to oust Chippa United and advance to the quarter-final as they aim to end their four-year trophy drought.

Lastly, Maritzburg United will be at home to Bidvest Wits as they l their second successive Cup semi-final.

Fadlu Davids' men exceeded the expectations when they reached last season's Nedbank Cup final only to lose to Free State Stars at the Cape Town Stadium.

The PSL announced that the Telkom Knockout Cup final will take place at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on December 8, 2018.
