A 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Monday means the Red Devils have now gone 12 games without success against the men from Stamford Bridge.
In the modern era, it is the Blues that continue to frustrate United and hold a domestic hoodoo over fierce rivals.
12 - Only twice in their history have Man Utd had a longer winless run against a team than their current run against Chelsea. Frustrated. pic.twitter.com/rPvrYcWu36— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) March 13, 2017
United’s last victory over Chelsea came back in October 2012, when they prevailed 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.
The Red Devils almost threw the game away that day as well, with a two-goal lead surrendered.
Javier Hernandez snatched a winner, though, 15 minutes from time, with the Blues down to nine men by that stage after seeing Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres sent off.
