Fosa Juniors coach Bob Bootwijk has admitted that his side can't progress any further in the Caf Confederation Cup, after suffering a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Ghana champions Aduana Stars in the qualifying round on Sunday.

The visitors took an early lead and many thought they were going to continue their fairytale run after eliminating AFC Leopards and AS Port Louis 2000 en route to this stage but, Aduana recovered and netted six goals in response.

The Dutch coach thinks it’s all over despite a return leg expected to take place on April 18.

"We are only going to play the second leg for an honour since it is almost impossible to overturn the scoreline," Bootwijk said, as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.

"We made 1-0 and quickly after that, it was 1-1 and mentally that was not good.

"After that, there were two quick penalties for it to become 3-1 and when you have a young team like ours, you have to get up with all your efforts but we weren't successful.

"So I can easily say that this is a match between the big boys and the small boys in the second leg," he added.

Aduana were one of the sixteen clubs demoted to the Confederation Cup after failing to make it to the group stage of the Caf Champions League.
