Biffo charges Abia Warriors players for survival fight

Abia Warriors coach, Abdullahi Biffo charges his players to fight against relegation with their sights set on the maximum points against Lobi Stars in Makurdi this weekend.

Biffo was full of praise for his players' performance against FC IfeanyiUbah but bemoans their inability to convert begging chances.

Thus, he has challenged them to put their bodies on the line when they visit Makurdi for the weekend’s league tie.

“I have to thank my players for the way they played against FC IfeanyiUbah. They did everything as instructed but were unable to make their dominance count with goals,” Biffo told Goal.

"The draw was an unexpected result judging by what we did in Lokoja against Niger Tornadoes. We cannot continue to cry over spilt milk and I have told them that we must fight our ways out of the relegation zone.

“I have told them that they must be ready to sacrifice themselves in the remaining league matches and that against Lobi Stars this weekend they must prove that Abia Warriors do not deserve to go down at the end of the season.

“They have promised to do themselves and the team proud in Makurdi on Sunday.  Abia Warriors have come to stay in the elite division and it is now left for us to show through our action that we do not want the team to be relegated," he concluded.

Abia Warriors are 15th in the league table with 41 points from 32 matches.
