Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Bhongoleethu Jayiya feels that it is still too early for him to leave the club.
This despite the 28-year-old player having failed to cement his place in the Amakhosi's starting line-up since joining the club at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign.
Jayiya made an appearance in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) for Chiefs as they edged out Golden Arrows 1-0 at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale this past weekend.
“No man, it is still early for a loan move. I still want to push myself in this club and do my best,” Jayiya said on IOL.
“It was nice to get game time. It was all about doing what the coach instructed us to do. I want to push as hard as possible. At the end of the day, it is all about building confidence. As time goes by, I will get better,” he continued.
The former Bidvest Wits winger has made only three appearances for Amakhosi this season under Italian coach Giovanni Solinas.
“At times you need to sit down and reflect. You’ve always been playing and you’ve always been a regular but you come into a new team and the team has other players they believe in," he explained.
Jayiya remains hopeful that he will soon break into the Chiefs first team starting line-up and command a regular place.
"I have to keep on working hard and push as much as possible. I must push and give it my all at all the times," Jayiya explained.
“Chiefs have got a different style of play to what I’m used to. I’m just a person who loves to be on the line and now I have to play inside and as number 10," he added.
"So, that’s another interesting factor I need to bring into my game, which is actually coming along very nicely. As time goes it will keep me going," he concluded.
Chiefs will take on Jayiya's former club, Cape Town City in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) match at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
