Berekum Chelsea have signed midfielder Solomon Commey Oblitey from Sunyani-based DC United in a three-year deal ahead of the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season.
The winger was linked with a move to league champions Aduana Stars and Bechem United but he opted to sign for Chelsea after being promised first team action, according to reports.

Commey admitted his happiness after completing the deal and believes Chelsea will be a springboard for him to land a foreign contract in the future.
"I'm happy to have finally joined Berekum Chelsea and I think things will be awesome here," Commey said.
"There were several options but I came here because I believe I can have several deals outside at Chelsea in the future since they have the men to help young prospects like me. I wish and hope things will go as planned," he added.
Commey has become the seventh player signed by Chelsea in the transfer window aside Edmund Arko Mensah, Hafiz Ali, Jonah Attuquaye, Benjamin Baidoo, Patrick Owusu and Yusif Moro.
