The Denmark international was emerged as one of Europe’s top creative talents, with few able to compete with the numbers he has been posting regarding assists and influence in the final third.
Such talent has inevitably drawn admiring glances from afar, with the 25-year-old considered to be a performer who would not look out of place at Camp Nou.
His representative has, however, sought to play down the rumours by announcing that no attention is being paid to them as Eriksen chases down a Premier League title with Spurs.
Schoots told Danish newspaper BT: “I prefer not to comment on what the newspapers write about the future. The only thing Christian wants to do is focus on playing his matches.
“We let the rumours be rumoured, even now, when Christian’s merits as a player who sets up a goal are better than anyone else, and now he scores also very important goals.
“Christian just wants to be important for the team, it is the only thing that matters to him.”
Eriksen has netted 12 goals in 40 appearances for Tottenham this season.
He has also provided 12 assists to grateful team-mates, with that return helping to keep Mauricio Pochettino’s side within four points of Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.
