The Dockers became the first side to have managed to pick maximum points from the league champions this season following a well deserved 2-1 victory on Tuesday.
Dan Guya and Yemi Mwana were both on target to help Bernard Mwalala become the first coach to have shattered a 22-match winning streak by K’Ogalo.
Mulumba, who was a solid rock in Bandari defence said tha the game was not a walk in the park. "We did not have any 'special plans' because we were facing Gor Mahia. We just prepared as we always do when we face any other team in the league.
“We were playing the defending champions and we knew it was going to be tough, but we wanted to get positive result," Mulumba told Goal.
"It was not about breaking their unbeaten run. We just wanted to give our best and at the end we managed to get a win. It is a motivation to us and it will make us work even harder."
Bandari will next face off with 11-time league champions Tusker.
