The Giant Elephant handler has expressed his resolve that their build-up to the NPFL restart will help them survive topflight demotion

Wikki Tourists chairman, Auwal Baba Jada has reiterated his conviction that they have had good preparations for the resumption of the Nigeria Professional Football League that will guarantee their top-flight stay.

He noted that even though the Giant Elephants are inadequately placed in the league table with only a point separating them from the relegation zone, he is more than certain his wards will protect their top-flight interest by the end of the season.

Also, he is very confident that his players will get the required points that will preserve their stay in the elite division beyond the current campaign.

“I will say that Wikki Tourists have been going about their preparations for the resumption of the league in a fine way,” Baba Jada told Goal.

“We have played at least seven or eight games but against lower league teams. We did it like that because we wanted to have stability first before scheduling friendly games with NPFL sides. The technical crew has realized their mistakes and made adequate corrections.

“The objective still remains to survive the relegation zone because our position and the points we have accumulated can’t take us anywhere now. We have assessed the level of our preparations and I must admit that I have hope that we are going to survive.”

Wikki Tourists are 14th in the league table with 29 points from 24 games.
