Arab Club Championship: Al Ahly suffer disastrous loss

Nasr Hussein Dey claimed a 2-0 win over UAE's Al Wahda on Saturday, in the opening game of Arab Club Championship (ACC) in Cairo.

Tawfiq Addadi and Ahmad Al-Qasimi scored for the Algerian side in the 11th minute and the 1st minute of extra time respectively, leading the team to the top of group A with three points.

Surprisingly, Jordan’s Al-Faisaly clinched a 1-0 win over Al-Ahly on the same day, recording its first win over the Egyptian giant and securing the second place in Group A.

Yousef Al-Rawashdeh capitalized on a defensive mistake by Mohamed Naguib in the 54th minute.
