The North Korean and Turkmen sides are in an advantageous position, going into the second leg...

The Inter-Zonal semifinal playoffs got off to an interesting start in the first legs last week. Altyn Asyr and 4.25 SC have notched important wins but are yet to be assured of a place in the final.

Here is what awaits us this week in the second leg.

4.25 SC vs Home United

Singapore's Home United will be up against it when they travel to North Korea to take on 4.25 SC in the second leg of their Inter-Zonal semifinal. The first leg saw the North Korean outfit run out 2-0 victors and look set to advance.

Home United will need to at their very best to deny 4.25 SC in Pyongyang. They reached this stage with a perfect record and have scored more goals than any other side in the tournament so far. They have overturned deficits before and will be up for the battle.

But 4.25 SC have some prolific players in Pak Myong Song and An Il Bom who they will count on to deliver on the big stage. With Home United needing to score at least two goals, safe to say 4.25 SC are odds-on favourites to go through.

Venue: Kim Il Sung Stadium, Pyongyang
Kick-off: August 28, 17:00 UTC+9

Altyn Asyr vs Bengaluru FC

Turkmen champions Altyn Asyr will be eyeing a place in the final of the Inter-Zonal playoffs when they host Bengaluru FC on Wednesday in the second leg. The first leg in Bengaluru finished 3-2 in favour of Altyn Asyr who will be buoyed as a result.

But the two second-half goals they conceded will mean that they cannot afford to let their guards down at home against a Bengaluru FC side who have in the past overturned deficits in the second leg in this competition.

As ever, the Indian side will look towards their captain and talisman Sunil Chhetri for inspiration, while Venezuelan striker Miku will hope to have more sights on goal than he was afforded in the first leg. But Altyn Asyr also have several aces up their sleeve.

Venue: Kopetdag Stadium, Ashgabat
Kick-off: August 29, 16:30 UTC+5:00
