Mason Greenwood's goal fired Manchester United to a 1-0 victory over Wolves in their Premier League clash at Molineux. The home side had numerous chances in front of goal as Trincao, Raul Jimenez and Romain Saiss missed great opportunities. Greenwood made them pay the price as he fired his effort through Jose Sa with 10 minutes to play, although Bruno Lage and his men were furious that a free-kick was not awarded after a tackle by Paul Pogba on Ruben Neves. United held out comfortably for the three points, while Wolves lost their third game in a row by a 1-0 scoreline to start the term.

Neves loses out in a 50/50 to Pogba before United spread the ball wide as Varane picks out Greenwood. The forward blitzes past Marcal before hammering a low effort into the back of the net. Sa gets a hand to it, but he should do a lot better. Wolves are not happy about not being awarded a foul, but the goal stands.

53' James bursts down the left flank and fires in a low cross, but his cross is cleared by Saiss away from Greenwood.

48' Marcal looks for the early ball over the top for the run of Traore, but the winger moves a fraction too soon and is caught offside.
46' We're back under way at Molineux.
Bruno Lage will be pleased with his side's performance, although they were lacking the clincal edge to find the back of the net. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked concerned heading down the tunnel. He needs a stronger effort from the Red Devils in the second period.
It is goalless at the break between Wolves and Manchester United in their Premier League clash at Molineux. 37' United have not been able to get into the game at all. Solskjaer will be concerned that his side have struggled immensely in possession.
35' Jimenez looks for an intricate pass into the feet of Trincao, but Varane is there again to make a vital challenge on the edge of the United box.
34' Traore raids down the left flank and looks for an early cross that Varane has to clear block behind for a corner.
33' Moutinho tries to release Traore over the top, but the ball just skips off the surface and away from the winger into the hands of De Gea. Not even Traore could catch that one.

16' United are trying to take the pace out of the game after Wolves' fast start to the contest. The Red Devils need to settle.
14' Lage should be thrilled with his side's start to the game. They've done everything but score. The Portuguese will be crying out for a clinical edge in front of goal.
13' OVER! Marcal lifts a dangerous cross into the box that United failed to clear. Jimenez hooks the ball back into the middle for Moutinho, but the Portuguese guides his half-volley over the top.
12' BLOCK! Traore continues to torment United. He bounds away from Wan-Bissaka before offloading towards Jimenez in space. The forward takes a touch before seeing his strike blocked by Varane.

3' SAVE! Jimenez sees an effort saved after a brisk counter from Traore. The winger bursts out from the back with a surge of pace and he breaks into the United half. He offloads to the right-inside channel for Jimenez, who fires at goal, only to see his strike saved by the legs of De Gea.
1' We're under way at Molineux.
Manchester United have lost just one of their last eight Premier League meetings with Wolves (W4 D3), going down 2-1 at Molineux in April 2019.
Varane makes his bow for the Red Devils in the heart of the defence alongside Maguire. The Frenchman is one of three changes from the draw against the Saints last week. The other two see James come into the fold for Martial, while Matic also makes way from the team. It allows Sancho to make his first start for Solskjaer's men in the final third after two appearances off the bench. Cavani is available for the first time as a substitute after missing the opening two weeks of the term.
Wolves rung the changes during the week for their EFL Cup match against Forest, but have reverted back to the line-up that lost to Tottenham last week for the clash against the Red Devils. The back three remains the same along with Moutinho, but Sa, Neves, Semedo, Marcal, Traore, Jimenez and Trincao all return.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBS: Victor Lindelof, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Diogo Dalot, Tom Heaton, Nemanja Matic, Donny van de Beek.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Paul Pogba, Fred; Daniel James, Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho; Mason Greenwood.
WOLVES SUBS: Ki-Jana Hoever, Rayan Ait Nouri, Daniel Podence, Willy Boly, Fabio Silva, Morgan Gibbs-White, John Ruddy, Leander Dendoncker, Luke Cundle.
WOLVES (3-4-3): Jose Sa; Max Kilman, Conor Coady, Romain Saiss; Nelson Semedo, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Marcal; Trincao, Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore.
United caused a storm in the transfer world by securing the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus when it appeared the Portuguese was on his way to their rivals City. The former United man opted for an 11th hour switch back to Old Trafford, and his presence will certainly boost their hopes of ending their title drought. Ronaldo is not playing today, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hopeful that his team can use the news to get back to winning ways after their momentum from their 5-1 hammering of Leeds was stymied in a 1-1 draw with Southampton last time out.
Wolves have suffered back-to-back defeats to start the campaign, suffering 1-0 losses at the hands of Leicester and Tottenham in the Premier League. They found form during the week with a 4-0 hammering of Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup, and Bruno Lage will be hopeful that his team gained confidence from the win at the City Ground. However, they face a massive challenge against a United side that looked capable of challenging for the title.
Hello and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League contest between Wolves and Manchester United at Molineux.
