Commentary

That's all for now though, goodbye!
The result means that Bayern climb to fourth in the early table. Meanwhile, Cologne drop to eighth.
Bayern come out on top against Cologne after a thrilling second half. The first 45 minutes were tight: neither side could create clear chances. But the game burst into life when Musiala came on for the second half. First, he set up Lewandowski for a simple finish, before the young attacker whipped in a cross for Gnabry to tap in at the back post to make it two. But Cologne recovered: they scored two goals in two minutes - a header from Modeste and a neat finish from Uth - to peg Bayern back immediately. The hosts kept their composure though, and snatched all three points when Gnabry smashes a fine strike past Horn from 20 yards.
90' + 3' FULL TIME: Bayern Munich 3-2 Cologne

86' Cologne are pressing hard for an equaliser, but they're struggling to create any clear chances.
84' Lewandowski attempts an audacious lob from the halfway line but it sails well over the bar.
82' Hector's now hurling long throws into the box too. His latest delivery is flicked on by Lemperle but Sule clears the dropping ball away.
80' Another Cologne move breaks down as Duda misplaces a pass intended for Hector.
78' Cologne are putting in cross after cross as they search for a way back into this game.

N. Süle
Yellow Card

75' Well, the hosts will be relieved to have snatched the lead back. They could have easily folded after Cologne's quickfire double, but they reacted brilliantly to take control of the game once more.
73' Bayern look to add to their lead quickly, but Lewandowski blazes over from 20 yards.
S. Gnabry
Goal
71' GNABRY AGAIN! 3-2! Bayern re-establish their lead as Gnabry controls a pass from Kimmich, before hammering an angled drive across goal and high into the net! Horn dived despairingly for it, but the strike beat him for pace.
J. Kimmich
Assist
71' It was a simple pass from Kimmich to pick Gnabry out on the edge of the box, but surely even he didn't expect the attacker to hit such a brilliant effort!
S. Andersson
F. Kainz
69' Another change for Cologne: Kainz is replaced by Andersson in midfield.

66' Goretzka is replaced by Tolisso as Bayern search for more energy to get a winner.
O. Duda
M. Uth
66' Uth makes way for Duda in attack.
64' Well, that was a breathless five minutes! Bayern looked like they had the game wrapped up at 2-0, but two brilliant crosses have allowed both Uth and Modeste to score and peg the hosts back.
63' Thielmann drills a low shot from 20 yards that Neuer saves comfortably. The visitors are really taking the game to Bayern now!
K. Ehizibue
Assist
62' It was a fantastic cross from Ehizibue - it was whipped in front of Upamecano making it very difficult to defend. But Uth's movement was superb. The striker anticipated the cross ahead of Upamecano and timed his run perfectly to get in front of the defender and bundle it in.
M. Uth
Goal
62' UTH! 2-2! Cologne equalise after two goals in two minutes! The visitors hit Bayern on the break as Ehizibue charges down the right before whipping in a cross in front of Upamecano and into Uth who slides in to poke a close-range finish past Neuer!
61' Suddenly Cologne are streaming forward with belief as they look to find an equaliser.
J. Hector
Assist
60' That was the perfect cross from Hector: it arced over Sule's head before dipping neatly towards Modeste who applied a simple finish.
A. Modeste
Goal
60' MODESTE! 2-1! Cologne halve the deficit immediately! Hector drives at Stanisic before whipping in a brilliant cross that flashes over Sule and into the path of Modeste who thumps a header past Neuer from near the penalty spot!
S. Gnabry
Goal
59' GNABRY! 2-0! Muller sets Musiala free again - this time down the right flank - and the attacker hits in a dangerous low cross that flicks off Mere and into the path of Gnabry who slots it in from close range at the back post!
57' Modeste gathers a pass 25 yards out and swivels before curling a tame effort high and wide.
56' A missed opportunity for Cologne. The visitors hit Bayern on the break, but the move falls apart when Modeste misplaces his pass to Ljubicic on the overlap.
54' Lewandowski has now scored in 12 consecutive Bundesliga matches, equalling his own personal Bundesliga record from the 2012-13 season, when he scored in 12 consecutive appearances for Borussia Dortmund.
52' Cologne attempt to strike back with a series of corners, but Bayern confidently fend them off.
J. Musiala
Assist
50' That was a sensational assist from Musiala! Bayern needed a spark and the attacker provided it almost immediately after getting off the bench: Musiala breezed past Mere before keeping his composure deep inside the box by picking out the unmarked Lewandowski.
R. Lewandowski
Goal
50' LEWANDOWSKI! 1-0! Muller sets Musiala free down the left flank and the attacker dances past Mere on the way to the byline, before cutting it back to Lewandowski who clinically stabs it in from close range!

46' Cologne get the second half underway.
Bayern were just about in control during the first 45, but struggled to create many clear chances. After drawing their first game of the season, they'll look to step it up in the second half and claim their first three points under Nagelsmann.
Bayern and Cologne go into the break at 0-0. The visitors have put in a superb display so far, and deserve to be level. Cologne started strongly but failed to create any openings and from there had to defend resolutely. Blocks were made at the vital moment to stop Lewandowski and Gnabry and when the defence was breached, Horn was able to palm Sule's shot away. Cologne did have an opportunity late on when Uth poked wide when clean through, but they'll be satisfied with their work in the first half.
45' + 3' HALF TIME: Bayern Munich 0-0 Cologne
45' + 2' Uth pokes wide one-on-one, only for the linesman to raise his flag for offside. Replays suggest that was a tight call, and Uth might come to regret that miss.
45' Chance! Kimmich dinks an outrageous pass through towards Gnabry in the six-yard box, but the attacker can't quite reach it and he just misses the ball with a desperate lunch! If he made contact there it would have been difficult for Horn to keep out.
43' It's been a surprisingly quiet half for Lewandowski. But he almost punishes Cologne late on: the striker dances into the box and rides a number of challenges, before firing a shot against Czichos
41' Gnabry slaloms past Hector, but the defender trips him, meaning that Bayern have a promising free-kick on the edge of the box. Sane steps up and wastefully hits it low into the wall, and away for a throw-in.
39' A fluent Cologne move - that sweeps from right to left - ends with Uth blazing a wild shot high and wide from 20 yards.
37' Modeste attempts an audacious header from outside the box, but it loops safely over the bar.
35' Cologne haven't been able to create much so far, but they've done an excellent job of restricting Bayern. It's been a tight game so far as we approach half time.
33' Bayern appeal for a penalty as Ehizibue and Davies tangle inside the box, but the referee remains unmoved.
31' Ehizibue is down after colliding with Davies in the air. It looks like a head injury, but after a delay for treatment, he's okay to continue.
29' Sule awkwardly trips Uth on the edge of the box, presenting Cologne with a promising free-kick. Uth takes it himself and smashes it into the wall, before slicing the follow-up harmlessly away.
27' Thielmann flashes a dangerous delivery across the face of goal, but Upamecano stretches to turn it behind for a corner. The resulting set-piece amounts to nothing.
26' Chance! Sule swivels in the box and fires a half-volley towards the top corner from eight yards! However, Horn is there to acrobatically turn it over the bar.
25' Horn sails out to punch another Kimmich corner clear. The hosts are just starting to take control of this game and build the pressure on Cologne though.
24' Bayern race away on the counter again and Gnabry dribbles ominously into the box, before cutting inside Ehizibue and having his shot deflected away.
22' Kainz attempts to latch onto a long ball over the top but Neuer rushes out to get there first.
D. Ljubičić
Yellow Card
20' Ljubicic is booked after preventing Bayern from taking a quick free-kick.
20' Sane darts neatly inside, before firing a low effort from 25 yards that trickles well wide.
19' The pressure will be on new Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann today. Under Nagelsmann, Bayern failed to start a Bundesliga season with a win for the first time in 10 years. The last time a coach was winless in his first two games in charge of the club was Louis van Gaal in 2009 (two draws).
17' Kainz goes down for treatment, but he should be able to continue.
15' Horn punches Kimmich's corner well outside the box.
13' Upamecano weaves into the Cologne half to push Bayern forward, but the move breaks down following an errant pass from Sane.
11' Kainz lunges in to halt Goretzka's run and concede a foul on the halfway line. Rather than pushing forward though, the hosts opt to settle the game down with a spell of defensive possession.
9' Close again! Lewandowski breaks away down the right-wing, kickstarting a three-on-three! The striker gets to the byline before cutting it back to Muller who can't get enough power on his shot and it drifts wide from eight yards.
8' Chance! Bayern make their first foray forward as Davies charges down the left flank before whipping in a pacey cross that Goretzka pokes wide from 12 yards!
6' Cologne continue to apply early pressure. This time the hosts are forced to scramble a long throw away, before another cross from Hector misses any attackers.
4' Upamecano turns Uth's cross behind and the visitors win their first corner. Kainz's delivery is punched clear by Neuer though.
2' Bright start for Cologne. Modeste picks out Hector, who gets to the byline before clipping in a cross that Upamecano heads clear.
1' After a minute's silence for Bayern Munich legend Gerd Muller, the hosts get the game underway.
The players are emerging from the tunnel and kick off is just seconds away!
