Who has scored more goals in the Champions League this season - Cristiano Ronaldo or Barcelona?

Cristiano Ronaldo loves scoring in the Champions League. The Real Madrid forward already has 11 goals in the competition this season and will look to add to that tally as Los Blancos face Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old netted twice in the teams' last-16 first leg match at Santiago Bernabeu on February 14 as Real ran out 3-1 winners, and is currently on a hot scoring streak, having hit 10 goals in his last five games.

Despite his struggles in front of goal in La Liga earlier this season, the Portuguese kept scoring in the Champions League, finishing as the leading scorer in the group stages with nine.

Ronaldo scored two in the 3-0 win at home to APOEL, before adding another double in the 3-1 win away to Borussia Dortmund and then netting in the 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham.

He also scored Real's only goal in the 3-1 loss at Spurs, adding two more in the 6-0 victory away to APOEL and another in the 3-2 success against BVB. Nine in the group stage and 11 in total (of Madrid's 20 in the competition) after his double against PSG, it's fair to say Ronaldo has been at the top of his game in Europe in 2017-18.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have scored exactly half as many goals as Real Madrid in this season's Champions League, with Ernesto Valverde's side having converted only 10 times so far in Europe in 2017-18.

After a 3-0 win at home to Juventus in their first group game, the Blaugrana beat Sporting CP 1-0 in Lisbon and then defeated Olympiacos 3-1 at Camp Nou, before goalless games in Athens and Turin and finally a 1-0 victory over the Portuguese side in Barcelona.

That saw the Catalans end the group stage with just nine goals to their name and they added just one more at Chelsea in the teams' last-16 first leg meeting, a 1-1 draw, with the second match to come next week at Camp Nou.

Before that, Ronaldo is in action with Real against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes and the Portuguese will be central to his side's hopes in the only competition they have left this season.

Because even though the Portuguese has scored more than Barcelona in the Champions League this term, it is a stat that will mean very little unless Madrid's can take their place in the last eight on Tuesday.
