The power men were in a desperate mode for maximum points to return back to the summit of the National Super League table

Western Stima made their intentions of getting back to the top tier clear with a win against city rivals Kisumu All Stars on Saturday.

The power men were in a desperate mode for maximum points to return back to the summit of the National Super League table a position that had been taken by their counterparts Nairobi Stima.

However, they just did what was expected of them; a solitary goal by James Ogada in the 60th minute was enough to help the team hit 61 points and go top after twenty-nine matches, that is one game more than Nairobi Stima, KCB and Ushuru, who occupy the second, third and fourth positions respectively.

Green Commandos boosted their survival chances with their 4-1 win against fellow relegation candidates at Mumias Sports Complex. Bidco's good run was halted at Hope Center by Nairobi City Stars. At Afraha Stadium, St Joseph’s Youth had the last laugh after defeating visitors Coast Stima 3-0. Kangemi All Stars and FC Talanta had to battle to a two all draw at Camp Toyoyo.

Friday Results: KCB 2-1 Administration Police (Camp Toyoyo, 11 am), Ushuru 3-0 Modern Coast Rangers (Camp Toyoyo, 2 pm) and Kibera Black Stars 2-3 Nairobi Stima (Camp Toyoyo, 4.15 pm).
