Veteran defender appointed Thika United Team Manager

Thika United has promoted veteran defender Vincent Nyaberi to Team Manager position.

The defender has been with the club since 2009 after joining from Shabana FC and has gone ahead to captain the team for a long time. A statement on the club's official portal also confirmed former Team Manager George Maina will now serve as the Chief Executive Officer, C.E.O.

"Maina is among the longest serving members of the club amassing a combined total of fifteen years of experience both as a player (8yrs) and a team manager (7yrs) at the club, having joined back in 2003 from AFC Leopards.

"The experienced stopper, (Nyaberi), joined Thika United from Shabana FC back in 2009, and has deputized and worn the captain’s band under different coaches throughout his tenure as a player."

Thika United is preparing to face AFC Leopards in the Kenyan Premier League this weekend.
