USM Alger coach Miloud Hamdi acknowledged he gritty nature of Gor Mahia after both sides played to a 0-0 draw in eth second match of the Caf Confederation Cup.
Gor Mahia were reduced to 10 men after Joash Onyango was red carded early in the second.
But despite playing a man down for the better of the second period, Gor Mahia held their nerves to settle for appoint.
Hamdi knowledged the opponents’ strength: “Sometimes when you play with ten men you play better and so I have to hail the opponent. It was not an easy one.
Gor Mahia are second on the Group D with two points, two behind Group leaders USM Alger.
Other group leaders are Yanga and Rayon Sport.
