Manchester United want Mertens

Manchester United are hoping to sign Napoli star Dries Mertens in the summer, according to The Sun.

The 30-year-old Belgian has been one of Italy's best players in recent years, scoring 45 goals in Serie A over just the past two seasons.

Mertens has a bargain release clause of just £25 million for sides outside of Italy, which will no doubt lead to plenty of foreign interest.

Suarez hints at Griezmann Barca move

Luis Suarez has hinted at the possibility Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann will join Barcelona at some point in the near future.

Suarez, speaking with Radio Rincon, praised the ability of Barcelona to bring in big names like Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.

Then speaking on Griezmann, Suarez indicated the forward has the right make up to play for the club and that "he will be welcomed."

Barcelona to move for 'new Neymar'

Barcelona have met with representatives of 17-year-old Santos winger Rodrygo regarding a possible move to Camp Nou, reports Sport

Rodrygo has garnered comparisons to his compatriot Neymar and many observers believe he could go on to have a similar impact on the global stage. 

The teenage star has a contract with Santos through 2022, which includes a release clause of €50 million.

Griezmann is Madrid's plan B

Real Madrid will consider moving for Antoine Griezmann if they can't secure Mohamed Salah this summer, claims Don Balon.

Salah is Madrid's top objective in the upcoming transfer window, but the Blancos are hesitant to pay the €200 million fee that Liverpool are likely to request. 

Though Griezmann has been heavily linked with Barcelona, Madrid are also ready to pay the France forward's €100m release clause.

Courtois and Alisson top Madrid's GK wish list

Real Madrid will sign a new goalkeeper in the summer, with Thibaut Courtois and Alisson the club's top two targets, according to Mundo Deportivo.

With Keylor Navas turning 32 next season and Kiko Casilla set to depart, the Blancos are in need of reinforcements in goal. 

David de Gea is considered unattainable due to Jose Mourinho's unwillingness to sell, so Madrid have turned to the Chelsea and Roma shot-stoppers as prime targets. 

Wenger's replacement to receive £200m war chest

Arsene Wenger's successor will be handed a £200 million transfer budget to improve Arsenal, reports the Daily Star.

Wenger will depart his managerial role at the end of the season, with the Gunners failing to qualify for the Champions League in back-to-back campaigns. 

The report states Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is the top candidate to take over the Gunners, and the Italian would have plenty of funding to reshape the squad should he move to London. 

Barcelona not interested in Thiago return

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is dreaming of a return to Barcelona but the Catalan club do not see a move happening, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The 27-year-old left Camp Nou in 2013 to sign for Bayern, who were coached by former Barca manager Pep Guardiola at the time. 

The report states Thiago met with Barcelona higher-ups last year to discuss a move, but the Catalans are now unwilling to pay a fee likely in the range of €50-60 million for the midfielder's services. 

Jardim to leave Monaco this summer

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim will depart the club this summer, according to The Sun.

The Portuguese boss has become one of Europe's most highly rated managers, leading Monaco to a Ligue 1 title and the Champions League semi-finals last season.

Jardim could be set for a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Chelsea both rumoured to be interested.

Toure wants to stay in Premier League

Departing Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure wants to remain in the Premier League next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The 34-year-old will leave City at the end of the season after an eight-year stay at the Etihad Stadium.

Though Toure could be tempted by big money in China, his family are settled in the north west, making Everton, Burnley and Huddersfield potential destinations.

Napoli contact Fonseca to replace Sarri

Napoli have contacted Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca as they see him as a potential replacement for Maurizio Sarri, reports  Corriere della Serra.

Sarri has been heavily linked with the Chelsea job as the Napoli boss looks for a fresh challenge outside of Italy.  

In anticipation of Sarri's departure Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has contacted Fonseca, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Everton among other clubs. 

Chivas seeking Chicharito loan

Liga MX side Chivas hope to bring West Ham striker Javier Hernandez in on a six-month loan ahead of the Club World Cup in December, according to  Cancha .

Chicharito is a Guadalajara native who played for Chivas before moving to Manchester United in 2010, and has said he'd like to leave West Ham United in the summer.

The Guadalajara club is looking for a loan and would pay half of his current salary. Chivas have tried to bring Chicharito back to the club on a number of occasions, while MLS also prizes the 29-year-old as a potential signing. 

Gabigol still dreaming of Inter impact 

Gabriel Barbosa is still hoping to make an impact at Inter despite an awful stint that saw him score just once in 10 appearances.

Barbosa, known as "Gabigol," is currently on loan with Santos in his native Brazil, where he's scored five times ahead of a January return to Inter.

And the 21-year-old still hopes he can prove why Inter spent €29.5 million on his services two years ago.
