Umtiti is demanding an upgraded contract at the Camp Nou, and United were thought to be a possible landing spot if Barca did not present an acceptable deal.

But Umtiti is now likely to agree a new deal at Barca with United out of the picture and PSG unlikely to make a bid due to Financial Fair Play concerns.

Arsenal planning defensive overhaul

Arsenal are planning a defensive overhaul in the summer, according to Independent.

The club have lost faith in their back line and goalkeeper Petr Cech, with centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos of Borussia Dortmund identified as a top priority.

The Gunners also want Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak to replace Cech, but fear the Slovenian will prove too expensive.

Spurs plan £65m Mawson and Bertrand swoop

Tottenham are hoping to sign Swansea centre-back Alfie Mawson and Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand for a combined £65 million, reports Express.

Chelsea may have to pay Conte £10m to leave
