The Ghanaian joined the Wizards in February, but five goals in all competitions, after a brief loan spell away, have already made him a fans' favourite.
Three of his goals have come in the topflight, with two others registered in the US Open Cup, where KC are through to the final.
“He’s like the little energizer bunny," Vermes said, as reported by his club's official website.
"He’s actually getting better and better in our system all the time and that’s probably the most important thing.
He’s got a great mentality.”
Blessing joined Kansas from local side Liberty Professionals after winning the Best Player award in the Ghana Premier League last season.
He then had a loan stint with lower division outfit Swope Park Rangers before rejoining the Wizards.
At 20 years and 134 days, Blessing became the youngest player in Sporting KC history to net twice in a competitive match following an outstanding showing in a 2-2 league draw with Orlando City FC in May.
