Souleymane Doukara scored the match-winning goal in Antalyaspor’s 2-1 victory over Kasimpasa in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig fixture.

After scoring in his previous two games against Alanyaspor and Trabzonspor, the Senegalese continued from where he stopped netting his fifth goal in his 10th league appearance.

The home team started the tie on a right note with Veysel Sari notching the curtain raiser in the 21st minute.

However, Diego Angelo levelled proceedings for Bulent Korkmaz’s men two minutes before the break after benefitting from Yekta Kurtulus’ assist.

With the game heading for a draw, Doukara converted from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute to hand the Scorpions their sixth league win of the season.

The attacker featured for 88 minutes before he was substituted for Mevlut Erdinc while his compatriot Mbaye Diagne along Nigeria’s Samuel Eduok played the entire duration but could do nothing to save Kasimpasa from the defeat.

With the win, Antalyaspor climbed to the third spot in the log with 20 points from 11 games and will be looking forward to another positive result in their next league game against Akhisarspor on November 11.
