After parting ways with Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam, Craig Goodwin has found his way back Australia linking up with former side Adelaide United.
The pacey winger left the Reds on the best note in 2016, winning the A-League double and being crowned the club's player of the year.
That fine form saw Goodwin secure a move to Europe and be regularly included in Socceroos squads under Ange Postecoglou.
Restricted mainly to the bench however, the 26-year-old still only has three national caps to his name and after a frustrating season in Netherlands couldn't force his way into Australia's World Cup side.
Back in the A-League, a return to the Socceroos is firmly in Goodwin's sights and it played a big part in his decision to return to Adelaide.

"I think when I left Holland the end of it didn't end as I would've liked," Goodwin said speaking to Adelaide United.
"But obviously looking for a new opportunity to really take me to the next level and put myself back in the face of the Socceroos. I guess the Asian Cup is my main target for that.
"But I felt that the best thing for me was to come back to Adelaide United and really spring board from there."

Despite a strong first season with Sparta, Goodwin found his chances to impress limited in their most recent campaign as he earned just eight starts.
Though ending on a frustrating note, the Adelaide junior savoured testing himself overseas and feels he returns to the Reds a better player.
"You really learn a lot form European football both on and off the field, and for me I guess I've grown a bit as a player," he said.
"Being in relegation battles really improves your composure and calmness."
