In addition to the Sh100m, Safaricom will spend another Sh10m in prize money and pitch renovation. “About a quarter of the money set aside for the prize money is expected to better the standards of our pitches at the local community,” a source within Safaricom told Goal.

“These pitches will be identified before we can reveal the names.”

Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama is the Ambassador of Chapa Dimba. The winning teams in each gender will walk away with Sh1million prize money and a trip to London in April, 2018, during which they will get a chance to have mentorship sessions with Wanyama, visit a youth training camp and watch a live game.
