The Super Eagles B will face the Amavubi in the CHAN 2018 opener and the tactician admits their opponent will appear difficult

Ahead of their Monday's African Nations Championship opener against Rwanda, Nigeria B head coach Salisu Yusuf is predicting a difficult contest.

The Super Eagles B trainer is wary of the Amavubi despite their inability to win any of their pre-tournament friendlies against Sudan, Namibia, and Algeria in Tunis.

However, he is optimistic they will put up a good show enough to claim the maximum points against Antonie Hey's side, which are likewise making their third appearance.

"We have great motivation and confidence to play and see that we do well and win in Monday's game," Yusuf told Goal.

"That’s because it is going to be the first game for both teams. We know it will be difficult for us but I believe the team that creates more chances and takes them will win.

"The only information I know about Rwanda is that they have been playing some friendlies and lose most of them. That's why they will be more dangerous.

"I don't believe so much in statistics on match day. I think the team that does very well in the match is the best and can achieve anything. I don't believe in predictions but in reality.

"It is what we come to play within 90 minutes that will determine because all the four teams want to beat the rest to the first position.

"We have the same ambition but one team must finish first, second and third but we are going to work very hard to see that we qualify from the group."
