Leicester City would have been expected to put in a good show as they welcomed a resurgent Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium at lunchtime on Saturday. However, in what not many saw coming, the Eagles thumped the Foxes 3-0 with two first-half goals from Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha and a late strike from Bakary Sako.Joy for Roy Hodgson’s men while for Claude Puel, he’ll be asking his team a lot of questions for their underperformance.

Wilfred Ndidi has been ever-present for Leicester City this season with his fine performances winning the plaudits. He turned 21 on Saturday and while he watched as his side lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace, he was sent off for a second bookable offence having been accused of diving. Not a fine way to celebrate a milestone birthday but he’ll still remain valuable for Leicester.

Manchester City faced Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening and were beaming with confidence, leading the Premier League by 11 points and remaining unbeaten so far. City were too strong for Spurs as goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, and Raheem Sterling brace earned them a fantastic 4-1 win. The Citizens will now lead the log heading into Christmas and will feel proud having beaten all the potential top six title contenders.

He fine freekick meant Real Madrid became the first team to win the competition back-to-back and also three times having won it in 2014 and 2016.

Inter Milan were the log leaders by a slender one point heading into this weekend’s Serie A action. They were up against Udinese at the iconic San Siro and were expected to extend their slender lead. However, in what many never saw coming, Massimo Oddo’s men stunned the Nerazzurri with a 3-1 victory. It was Inter’s first defeat of the season and also ended their 16-game unbeaten run.


SALAH HITS GOAL NO.20 FOR ThE SEASON

Mohamed Salah just keeps making headlines as he simply can’t stop scoring. This weekend, Liverpool travelled to Bournemouth and came out 4-0 victors with Salah getting the third goal. His strike just before halftime at the Vitality Stadium means he’s taken his tally for the season in all competition to 20, making him the first player in the current Premier League campaign to reach that mark. He’s also the first Liverpool player since Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge in 2013/2014 to achieve the feat.
