It is only over a week since we bid the World Cup goodbye, but already there are eyes on the opening weeks of the major European leagues. And, as is the custom during pre-season, many of the Old Continent’s biggest clubs will meet as they prepare for their respective domestic campaigns.

This coming week will see four of Europe’s biggest clubs meet across two friendly games pitting Italy against England. First up, Roma will take on Tottenham before Milan and Manchester United are scheduled to meet.

Where can I win money across these two games?

This coming Wednesday (25 July), Italian club Roma meet London outfit Tottenham. And seeing as last season the pair had identical league records this should be a very close game indeed.

Both of these teams finished in third place. Both finished on 77 points and both lost just seven matches – it is therefore not a great surprise that they both have the same price to pick up a win in this game.

Roma and Tottenham are both at 2.60 to win this friendly. A draw is priced slightly higher at 3.40, according to the Oddsshark site.

Given the fact this is a pre-season friendly we are unlikely to see a game played at a hectic tempo. With both sets of players looking to pick up some much needed game rhythm, there may not be too many goals to decide this game.

Fewer than 2.5 goals in this game is priced at 2.30, offering you the chance to potentially double your money. You can back over 2.5 goals in the friendly at the lower price of 1.60.

The odds are also short on both teams to score during the encounter. You can back both teams to find the back of the net at 1.50, while a “No” to that outcome is at the longer price of 2.50.

All in all, this should be a close, low scoring game. Predicting exact scores is never an easy ask, buy a 1-0 win for Tottenham is priced at 12.00, which offers more than a ten-fold return on your initial investment.

Odds: Roma (2.60), Tottenham (2.60), draw (3.40)

The next day, former European champions Milan and Manchester United will lock horns. The Red Devils finished runners up to rivals Manchester City in the previous season and will be looking to make a marked improvement this time around.

Milan, for their part, could only finish sixth in Serie A, a huge 31 points off champions Juventus. While a title challenge does not look on the cards this season, they will surely be looking to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

And it is United who come into the game as the favourites to pick up the win. Mourinho’s side, runners up in last season’s Premier League race, are at just 2.37 to triumph, while the Italian giants are further out at 2.80 – offering you the chance to almost triple your investment should they prevail.

A draw, meanwhile, is priced at 3.50. However, given the fact that this is a pre-season friendly and the match will not be played in fifth gear, you may feel more comfortable going for the “Double Chance” bet, allowing you to choose two possible outcomes for the game rather than just one.

A win for AC Milan or a draw is priced at 1.53. That price drops to 1.40 if you think either United will win or it will end in a draw, while you can back either team to win the match at just 1.28.

Looking at the squads of these two teams it becomes clear that United have the stronger side and in all honesty the English club should win this. A comfortable, 2-0 win for United is priced competitively at 13.00

Again, the golden rule that the more specific the bet, the higher the rewards rings true. You can back Manchester United to win to nil (without Milan scoring) at the price of 4.75.

In addition, you can also bet on the first half outcome. Milan are at 3.10 to be leading at the interval, whilst United are at the slightly shorter price of 2.87.

Odds: Milan (2.80), Manchester United (2.37), draw (3.50)
