Hans van Pluijm has been confirmed as new Azam Head Coach.
The Dutchman replaces Aristica Cioaba in the Chamazi hot-seat after the Romanian stepped down after only one season.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam, Azam’s spokesman Jaffar Idd said that they have agreed the deal to sign Pluijm and he will be in charge ahead of next season.
“We are very pleased to announce that, Pluijm is our new head coach ahead of next season, said Idd.
Pluijm will leave Singida United after the FA Cup final against Mtibwa Sugar on Saturday.
Previously, Pluijm led Yanga in two different spells where he won two Premier League titles and one FA Cup.
Singida United confirmed last week that Pluijm will leave the club at the end of the season and they are in search for his successor.
Former Mbao head coach, Etienne Ndayiragije has been linked with the club but there has been no official statement from the club on who will be their new coach.
