Oumar Niasse back in Everton squad, says Koeman

Oumar Niasse has recalled into Everton first squad by manager Ronald Koeman.

The Senegalese spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City and could not get a move away from Goodison Park this summer prompting his demotion, but with the club lacking options in attack with the sale of Romelu Lukaku, the gaffer has decided to bring back the player into the first team.

“Niasse is back in the first team. He did a training session today,” Koeman told club website.

“It gives us another option for the striking position.

“It’s not necessary to speak any more about what happened last season I found that now is the right time to bring him back to the first team.

“He’s an Everton player and sometimes in life you need to give some opportunities.”

Niasse will have the opportunity to prove his worth when Everton play host to Victor Wanyama’s Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
