Ola Aina has dedicated his first goal in his professional football career to Hull City fans.

The 21-year-old scored the solitary goal that secured victory for Nigel Adkins’ men against Blackburn Rovers in the third round of the FA Cup at Ewood Park.

“It was a good performance all-round. To get the win was important,” said Aina.

“It is a result that the team really needed, credit to the fans as well. They were superb for the whole game.

“The win was definitely for the fans today,” he concluded.

The Nigeria international joined the Yorkshire outfit on loan from English Premier League champions, Chelsea in the summer and has featured in 25 games.

He will be looking forward to another impressive outing in Hull’s next English Championship clash against Reading at the KCOM Stadium on January 13.
