With the Tottenham striker out injured, Al Hain-Cole is backing the Leicester City frontman to transfer his prolific club form to the Three Lions

With Harry Kane out injured, England will have to look elsewhere for firepower when they take on the Netherlands at the Amsterdam ArenA on Friday.

The Tottenham striker is the only player to find the net in the last four fixtures for the Three Lions, who have played out goalless draws in both of their last two games.

On target in seven of his last 10 appearances for Leicester City, Jamie Vardy is the most likely candidate to assume the mantle from Kane in front of goal.

The 31-year-old is bet365’s 11/2 (6.50) favourite to open the scoring for Gareth Southgate’s men, or 15/8 (2.88) to score anytime.

The last England player to score other than Kane when he grabbed the winner in September’s qualifier against Slovakia, Marcus Rashford is available at 9/4 (3.25) to strike once again here.

With seven goals in his last 10 international appearances, Danny Welbeck is on offer at 11/4 (3.75) to further underline his credentials at this level by getting on target in Amsterdam.

At the other end of the pitch, Bas Dost will be looking to prove his own worth in international football by reproducing his prolific club form for the Oranje.

The Sporting Lisbon striker has hit the back of the net 30 times in 32 club fixtures this campaign, and can be backed at 5/1 (6.00) to break the deadlock with just his second international goal – or 7/4 (2.75) to score anytime.

Meanwhile, AZ’s Wouter Weghorst will also be keen to impress Ronald Koeman after receiving his first ever call-up, and is available at that same 7/4 (2.75) price to enjoy a dream debut by getting on target.

However, Memphis Depay may represent a more tried and tested option for the Netherlands after scoring in three of his last four appearances, and offers solid value at 5/2 (3.50) to mark his 35th cap with a goal.

Vardy to score anytime at 15/8 (2.88) with bet365 for a 1pt stake
