This is according to Bucs head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, who explained that the shot-stopper is yet to fully recover from a long-term injury.
Chiefs will welcome Pirates in an eagerly anticipated Premier Soccer League (PSL) encounter at the iconic FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
“I would say we have a clean bill of health so to speak, with the exception of Brilliant Khuzwayo," Sredojevic told the media.
Khuzwayo, who joined Bucs from Amakhosi prior to the start of the current season, has featured for the Buccaneers' reserve team in the Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) in recent times.
"The nature of this match is such that even when injured, the players would still want to be part of it," he said.
"But Brilliant still needs to get proper clearance,” the former Vipers SC head coach added.
Micho will have to choose between experienced goalkeepers Siyabonga Mpontshane, Jackson Mabokgwane and Wayne Sandilands.
Sandilands kept a clean sheet during Bucs' most recent competitive match which was against Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis in the Caf Champions League Group B match in Soweto.
Mabokgwane was in goal during the last Soweto Derby as Pirates secured a 2-1 win over Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout Cup semi-final encounter in Durban.
Prior to that Mpontshane served as the Buccaneers' first-choice goalkeeper and he featured in several Soweto Derbies.
