Michael Olunga will play in the Japanese second division League next season after Kashiwa Reysol were relegated from the top tier.

Reysol finished a place above the bottom of the table in the Japanese V-League despite their 3-0 victory over Gamba Osaka on the final day on Saturday.

However, result for the other game between Nagoya Grampus that ended in a 2-1 win in favour of Sanfrecce Hiroshima, confirmed Reysol’s relegation to the lower division.

Nagoya Grampus finished the season with four points ahead of Reysol,  who had 36 from 33 games.

Olunga did not play a part in the team's 3-0 win on Saturday, but even with a game to spare, the result of the next game will be nothing but a formality for the Kenya striker.

V-Varen Nagasaki is the other team that will move to the lower tier alongside Reysol.
