Masoud Juma took his season's goal tally to four in six appearances for the Dibba Al Fujaira in the Arabian Gulf League.
The former Kariobangi Sharks striker was on target even though his first-half goal could not help Dibba sail past Ajman, who won the tie 2-1, thanks to second-half goals by Nigerian Stanley Ohawuchi and Adil Hermach.
Masoud shot Dibba to the lead late in the second half despite an initial setback by the visitors after Ahmed Khamis was given his marching orders in the 35th minute.
But Ajman capitalized on their numerical advantage when they scored two goals in a span of three minutes to force a slim victory. Ohawuchi canceled out Masoud’s opener in the 51st minute before Hermach put the final nail on the coffin with the match winner, three minutes later.
Dibba, who are bottom of the table with only four points, will next face off with seventh-placed Al Fujaira.
