The Wonder Club's striker believes his side will compound issues for the Porcupine Warriors on Saturday

Great Olympics striker Abel Manomey claims his side will defeat Asante Kotoko when they meet in the Ghana Premier League matchday 14 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

The two clubs have suffered a disappointing run this season, with Olympics battling relegation while Kotoko, who were top on the log after matchday seven, have gone six games without a win and currently trailing leaders Wafa nine points.

"It is of course a difficult match but we will definitely use Asante Kotoko to rise up on the log," Manomey told

"It's unfortunate that we are not winning matches and it is a big worry to every player but we are hopeful that come what may, on Saturday we will pick victory over Kotoko in Accra.

''We don’t know what the problem is because we keep on pushing during games but the goals don't come. But we pray we hit the scoring form again since management has signed new strikers to augment the team for the second round,'' he added.

Olympics will be playing their first home game since Swedish manager Tom Strand took over from Godwin Attram in April. They have played three consecutive away games against Liberty Professionals, Tema Youth and Wa All Stars, picking only a point against the former.
