Manchester United eyeing off Mat Ryan - report

On the back of three straight clean sheets for Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League, Mat Ryan has reportedly earned transfer interest from Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has impressed in England since joining the Seagulls in 2017 and has once again been one of his side's strongest performers this season with Brighton on a run of three straight wins.

Having been a key figure in Brighton's 3-2 win over the Red Devils in August, The Sun is reporting that Ryan has caught the attention of United.

With current Spanish shot stopper David de Gea seemingly intent on departing Old Trafford, the club has turned their thoughts to a replacement with Ryan apparently top of their wish list.

Ryan does however still have over three years left on his contract with Brighton meaning the Red Devils will have to splash some cash to secure the Socceroos services.

After breaking through with A-League side Central Coast Mariners, Ryan secured a move to Europe in 2013 with Belgian side Club Brugge before short stints with Valencia and Genk.

Now Australia's unquestionable number one between the sticks, the Marconi junior first played for the green and gold in 2012.
