Lechantre praise Simba players despite Confederation Cup exit

After being dumped out of the Confederations Cup by Al Masry,  Simba head coach, Pierre Lechantre has praised the fighting spirit of his players despite the fact that, the team failed to reach the next stage.

In the second leg against Al Masry, Simba forded a barren draw.  The results sent them out of the tournament as they needed to win 1-0 away after drawing 2-2 at home in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking to Goal, Lechantre said that he is happy with the performance they put up but one important thing they face now is the run in of the Premium League to win the title this season.

Lechantre insists that all he can ask from his players is to continue giving their best for the club ready for their upcoming match against their arch –rivals, Young Africans in the Premium League which will decide the title race this season.

After it being dumped out of the Confederations Cup, Simba now remains committed to the Premium League while rivals, Yanga and Azam are still involved in two competitions.
