Ghana playmaker Kwadwo Asamoah still believes in their chances of reaching the 2018 Fifa World Cup despite a poor start to the third round qualifiers.
“In football, you can’t say everything is over because there are lots of surprises,” Asamoah told Soccer Laduma.
“For the previous years, playing the World Cup qualifiers Ghana has been so good; this time around things are a big difficult.
“But still I know we are not going to give up. Ghana are a very good side always trying to go to the World Cup. It's not easy though because Egypt are a very good side.
“They lead in the group now but we are going to do whatever it takes to come back.”
The qualifiers return in August when Ghana take on Congo, who sit bottom of the table.
The Black Stars have played at three consecutive World Cup tournaments between 2006 and 2014, reaching the quarterfinals in 2010.
