KPL Round Up: AFC Leopards lose third match in a row as Kariobangi Sharks draw

Enosh Ochieng scored late to hand AFC Leopards a third consecutive defeat as Ulinzi Stars ran away with a 2-1 win on Sunday.

Elvis Nandwa gave Ulinzi Stars the lead with his goal number 12 this season, just two minutes after the kick-offf, but captain Duncan Otieno restored parity for Ingwe late in the second half.

Ochieng then waited until late in the 81st minute to pull the trigger that saw the Dunstan Nyaudo charges pick themselves up from a 1-0 lose to Zoo FC last time out.

Meanwhile, Vihiga United picked their fourth point in two games in a draw with a high-flying Kariobangi Sharks. Fresh from beating Gor Mahia last time out, Vihiga United picked another important point after settling for a three all draw with Sharks in Mumias.

Erick Kapaito gave Sharks the lead with his 13th goal of the season before Sydney Simale doubled the advantage a few minutes later. Vincent Wonder cut Sharks’ lead before Kapaito completed his brace to take his tally jointly with Gor Mahia's Jacques Tuyisenge-both on 14 goals.

Michael Isabwa came off the bench to salvage a point for the host with a quick brace as both sides shared the spoil. Elsewhere, Meshack Karani scored a brace to help Sony Sugar beat Posta Rangers 2-0 at the Ruaraka Ground, while Sofapaka settled for a 2-2 draw with Nakumatt.

At the same time Wazito finally managed to pick a first victory in four games following a 2-1 win over Bandari. The win came a little too late for the side that have already dropped to the lower tier National Super League.

Though already relegated, Frank Ouna charges are determined that they will be heading back to the grass, but not without breaking the backs of opponents as they handed Bernard Mwalala his first lose since he took charge of the Mombasa-based side in June.

William Wadri thought he had Bandari with a second half equalizer, but John Mutua and Derrick Onyango had other plans.
