Peter Opiyo has joined Finish club SJK Seinäjoki on a one year deal.

The former Al Markhiya (Qatar) returned to Finland, where he also turned up for FF Jaro after he penned a short-term deal with an option of extending the same after the expiry at the end of the season.

The club also acquired the services of Ukranian Denys Oliynyk and Trinidad and Tobago's Shahdon Winchester.

The former AFC Leopards and Thika United midfielder will tap into his experience in the Finish league to adapt to his new club.

"I have played in Finland before and I know that SJK is a great club. It is a very professional club and that was the biggest reason why I wanted to come here.

"This is a great challenge for me and a new home. I know SJK is a club that always wants to win and it suits my own ambition. I want us to win together," Opiyo was told the club website.

Opiyo made his SJK Seinäjoki debut in a barren draw with VPS on Saturday. SJK Seinäjoki are currently ninth on 20 points in the division that has 12 teams.
